The Lake Sentinal is a 24/7 remote monitoring buoy built for real-time detection of algae blooms and the water-quality indicators that signal them. It weighs 8 lbs, deploys in about 30 minutes with minimal infrastructure, and runs on solar with self-cleaning sensors and remote diagnostics. The sensing platform is independently third-party tested at an accuracy of R_ of 0.999. Each buoy reads chlorophyll-a, phycocyanin, turbidity, water temperature, environmental conditions, and live GPS.
